Lost in the Woods formed out of clouds of cosmic dust in late 2003, in a small flat near Bondi Beach, NSW. Initially the band devoted its energies to a series of radio plays, but eventually the idea of an album of songs appealed. The recording of Down with the Sun continued in Punchbowl and Erskineville,and it was launched (not unlike an archaic Russian space probe) on April 1st, 2006 at the Empire Hotel, Annandale. The band continue to write and record, slowly forming a rocky core, and eventually, they hope, a life-supporting atmosphere. In late 2006 they began gigging regularly around Sydney.
