Nanzen debut e.p - Little world Big ocean.
Nanzen is the music of Bassist/Composer Brook Rees. The music, inspired by prominent artists of the 70's Miles Davis, Bob Marley, James Brown, Herbie Hancock and Fela Kuti was written to make a collaboration of chilled vibes, old school recording gear, jazz musicians and conscious lyrics. The Nanzen e.p features a unique co-writing venture between Brook Rees and Sholeh Wolpe, an Iranian-American poet whose poem "I am Neda" has been widely published and translated into many languages. Now for Neda, a haunting and powerful dub track, frames Sholeh's poem and features John Hoffman's evocative trumpet. The e.p is due for release on the 5th January 2011
