She might have a scary knowledge of classic 80s hits but Dan has also got the latest in Australian music under her belt. She's often hunting around Unearthed, so check out some of the great stuff she's already found.

Dark and brooding and edgy and moody. But still melodic and dynamic. Spaghetti western meets torchy blues in an indie club - with a fantastic, sultry result.

This song gives 'Welcome To The Black Parade' a run for its money! It's epic, orchestral, cabaret rock. Like the dirty Australian love child of Muse and Queen. Really quite something.

Wow! This is awesome instrumental post-rock. I just heard a CD version which was a little more hi-fidelity than this mp3. But even this is really good stuff. Another awesome and unexpected Unearthed find.

A cool, laidback synth pop gem. The smart arrangement lets the percussion and melody shine through. One for fans of Architecture In Helsinki.

This song channels the sweat-soaked energetic feel of acts like Death From Above 1979, Les Savy Fav and early Rapture. Makes me wanna angry-dance.

I like it! A bass-heavy dancefloor track that could be right out of a spooky modern-day stage musical. All it needs is a video starring Vince Noir from the Mighty Boosh.

Yes, there's a bit of a Phoenix vibe here but also a dash of Cut Copy's shiny disco. A great Friday night dancefloor tune.

It's a lo-fi recording but there's a fantastic pop tune shining through. I love the breezy feel to the music, coupled with the empassioned vocal delivery. This guy's got a distinctive voice and he exploits it. Sure, it's not groundbreaking - but it's definitely fulfilling.

Great pop tune. Am I the only one who hears a hint of Supertramp in this? That's definitely not a bad thing! Soaring almost-falsetto vocals, strings, bouncy pop rhythms, rockin' guitar solo - all right out of nineteen seventy-something. Good stuff.

A great acoustic pop song. The lyrics are awesome - great storytelling in the style of Darren Hanlon or Jens Lenkman. The production is simple with minimal percussion and backing vocals used to full efect. Nice!
