I was reading Sunii's mini-bio and I smiled when I read, 'I started recording at 17 (2004) with a mate but it was terrible!!!!! I moved overseas, got some life experience and grew up and decided in October 09 to buy a cheapo mic and start again'. I think a lot of 'artists' need to do the same thing - recognise their weeknesses and then try to strengthen them.
I'm glad Sunii went through this experience because he certainly has potential. He has the delivery, the lyrics and charisma to become a voice that needs to be heard.
Yeah, he's UK born, but we'll claim him. Hehe.
Good work Sunni.

Boy seems like he has a good ear for music and detail to sampling, arrangement and key. This track has a summer feel to it but I could imagine listening to it on a cold, late night. Maybe heading to a bourbon bar or something? Not they I like bourbon, but that's the vibe I get.
Good work, Lucky Phil.

...and a half.

Good use of tones, word play and delivery. Lyrics have substance as well. Big fella certainly has a presence and I'd like to hear more from him in the future.

Bam!

A solid effort. What I like about this tune is the production and the strong concept. Obviously, the MC is walking around with his head screwed on correctly and eyes and mind open. The lyrics are deeper than your average social-aware rhyme and its good to hear the passion shine through to match.
Well done boys.

More like 3 1/2.

I'm digging this groove. Laid back. Bit of a dark tinge around it. Usually I'm a bit sus on live outfits that play hip hop music. Generally, they sound cornball. But these guys seemed to put it down quite well.
The female vocals are soulful, the rhymes are solid and the over all vibes are tight.
Nice one guys. Looking forward to hearing more.

I'm digging the dark edge to this tune. seven / 7 shows he has the skill in order to deliver his complex rhymes that consists of tricky word play and abstract lyrics.
The only thing I don't like about this track is the chorus. I feel it's the only let down that could have otherwise resulted in a higher rating.
Over all though, I'm keen to hear what seven / 7 will conjur up next.

OK - might be 2yrs late with this review, but, hell, it still a lot better than stuff coming out currently.
Hobart/ Melbourne MC, Crixus, simply puts it, "Pads and pens and... microphones/ coffe cups, beats CDs and... mobile phones..." in the chorus and yeah, that pretty much sums up the life of aspiring and established MCs. Something that resonates well with me. Backed with a cool jazzy riddim, this is a choice tune to listen to. Laid back with lyrics you want to study. Good combo.

Now this is what I'm talking about. Sure it's not predominately a hip hop tune, but it has hip hop elements. Whatever you want to call it though - afro beat hip hop world music - it's damn refreshing.
The Fela Kuti inspiration shines through heavily, but it has an Australian touch. Established local MC, N'fa, does what does best which is to rhyme with conviction and positivty which helps drive the song's power and celebration.
Culture in effect!

*** Read 3.5, folks ***

Well thought out lyrics and delivered with conviction. Production is well put together too. Works on a lot of levels. The main loop switched up and so does the drum pattern. Add some cuts and you got a solid tune.
Nice one G Force.

Sturdy effort here. Gzutek (pron. zoo-tek) has got a solid flow and utilizes his voice nicely. Dude also has the ability to write lyrics that contain some tricky word play. Nice one bro. I'm eager to hear what Tek does in the future.
