Just finished creating his first studio E.P. now he wants to share it with you. He plays the piano and sings and enjoys pasta dishes.

The drive in the lyrics and piano will send you flying into the sky.

The flexibility of Emma's voice and the genius in the lyrics is something I keep coming back for.

One of Emma Dean's strongest tunes to date. Setting herself apart from other ladies on the keys with some real guts in her vocals.

Genius word play, genuine purpose in each word and just wait 'til the bridge kicks in.

Thom's strong vocals are full, thoughtful and resonant as they cut over simple lullabye guitar work. This is a well structured and planned out song.

The drumming is a little over condensed, is it machine or real?

It says 3, but really, 3.5/5 because as a demo, this really sits on the good side of the ratings line. Well done.

You want this sound in your headphones.

The warm thud in the bass and the classic vocal lines. Very easy to listen to.

If the B-52's got drunk(er) it would sound like this.

Played it on the Weekend Arvo show. What a magical piece of work. Brilliant melody from a seemingly endless range of possibilities. Fantastic video too.

Dark dance, when that first drop finally kicks in I had a huge smile on my face. There was only one section around 1.50 that dropped the ball a little.

Push it as far as you can, get darker, you could afford to have some beatless bars too. But after listening to Soundlab for the past few weeks, I reckon Fenella would give you a thumbs up.

Great digital madness on sale here.

You'll be wanting to make sure you've got you're own thing to offer. A signiature synth or even pop you're own vocals on board. Otherwise a listener might wonder how much of a single program was pumped into the creative side. But hey you put it together well.

It's cute, and the genre is pop. So lets not take things too seriously but...

I get the Ting Tings vocal thing you're doing and the Black Keys-esque synths but holy cow guys, ya can't put it all in the one song or that's all people notice.

Mix it up, you've got the talent now find some style!

Well everythings in place, but music like this will make people say "There good for their age." and nobody wants those tags.

Work on your lyrics, and balance out the vocals and raging. Obviously it's meant to be hard and fast, but funnily enough usually a lighter touch on the lyrics will help people keep listening. Focus on a melody.

Although not in the same field Kaiser Chiefs have a nack for following their heavy chords with the vocals and it works. Overall that's what is lacking, in the end people remember vocal rhythms, get that and it'll jump to 5 stars.
