More than just a bunch of good haircuts. These guys have some fine songs. "Clouds" - which isn't here as yet - is a standout. But how could you not like this one as well? Heart on your sleeve type stuff.

Clever post-mod pop. Kind of Buck 65 meets Beck.

I heard a lot of Stephen Merritt in this guy. And I'm not a huge Magnetic Fields' fan, but I like this song.

I thought this was going to be all dark and moody and without a speck of joy. But it won me over by the chorus. And then some strings come in. The stars come out and I'm wanting more. Kind of reminded me of some of the slow burn '90s stuff bands like Pollyanna and Buffalo Tom did.

It didn't grab me at first, but the M83 vibe slowly took hold. If John Hughes were still alive and kicking he'd make another teen flick and get these guys for the soundtrack.

Whack Antony, Durutti Column and a dose of glitch into a blender. You get Ghoul at their best on this track.
