Scott sings about shift-work, strategies for outsmarting death, the importance of delusions, love, wanderlust at Christmas-time and life’s variety of fuck-ups, while plinking the keys of anything that has them.

In 2007 he collected some songs on an EP called "Wet Behind The Ears". He’s performed them with An Horse, Oliver Mann, Last Dinosaurs, Fergus Brown, Jordie Lane and others.

For his latest batch of recordings he’s worked with Adele Pickvance (The Go-Betweens), Heinz Riegler, Megan Washington (Washington), John Parker (Misinterprotato), Chris Pickering, Seja Vogel (Regurgitator), Yeo Choong (Yeo), Tara Simmons, Rafael Karlen (West End Composers Collective) and others.

The songs have been mixed in Portland by Tucker Martine (The Decemberists, Laura Veirs, Death Cab For Cutie, Sufjan Stevens, etc.).

The end results are twofold: The "Kathleen" EP, out now, and a debut album ready for a release in 2010.

Love all the sounds going on here, but still allowing the story to be told without overcrowding your lyrics. Top work getting Tucker Martine involved...

A geuro-accompanied piano gem. Lots of nuances to Spark's stories. Very nicely produced pop that's never too happy too palate.
