Sun of Clark are a four piece Rock/Punk/Pop~ish/Jazz~ish band from Melbourne. Composing and recording music at home with the help of Vocal Chords, Guitars, Keyboards, Drums, Bass Guitars & various Percussive instruments, all the things which creates colourful tones & interesting noises.
Sun of Clark are currently playing songs from their forthcoming album, The Colours After Sunset at venues around Melbourne.
Members, Damian Clarkson, Pete Bramley and Dave Freudenstein, originally from Albury, have been playing together for two years and have had the recent addition of percussive wizard, Brian O'dwyer, from Melbourne, late in 2008.
Damian, who also plays drums with fellow Melbourne band St Helens, composes most of the music, sings, plays guitar and keys. Pete who also plays his eclectic brand of Rock/Pop/Ambience/Metal and anything in between under the name of Penguins, plays Lead/Rhythm Guitar and fiddles with the keys. With Dave on the bass/backing vocals and Brian on the drums, all members write and compose their own music, bringing exciting influences from across the musical spectrum. Their live shows are filled with ups and downs, explosive energy & all the aural fireworks that are desired.
Colourful and melodic, sharp and unpredictable, Sun of Clark is a must see act on Melbourne’s gig calendar. Check out myspace http://www.myspace.com/sunofclark and street press to find out when.
