Having formed in 2008 The High Society are a 9 piece juggernaut that blur all musical lines. 3 MCs front a 6 member backline including some of Melbourne’s hotest musicians. AT a show fan’s can expect to see hiphop and reggae, jazz, drum & bass, funk, rock and blues. With conscious lyrics sprinkled over intelligent music their ethos is to move minds and bodies.

They have played such places as St Kilda Fest in 2010, The Hi-Fi Bar (supporting NZ's Katchafire), The Prince of Wales, The Laundry and The Rainbow Hotel, they have also held residencies at Veludo and Miss Libertine a a have also headlined huge warehouse parties and other venues around town and are building a strong following. Having completed their debut East Coast tour in January this year their following has begun to grow interstate.

The frontline includes the soulful Hyina Mufasa, the energetic Dyzlexic CM and gruff drawl of JP. Backing them up are Harry Coulson on guitar, Jimmy Thompson on drums, Steve Hornby on bass and the cranking trio known as The HiSy horns of Miles Williams, Rob Simone and Matt Gerdes rounds the collective out.

Having recently recorded with Daltron Labs they will shortly be releasing a 4 track EP ready to blow apart your stereo.
