Formed in Geraldton as Seifer in 2006 at the beginning of their high school education, the members of The Ship Wrecks have been playing at school and town events, building a reputation for themselves on the local scene. They entered Triple J Unearthed in 2010 and had three songs voted into the top 20 of the charts. Over the years they have gained live show experience, polished their showmanship and have spent time in studios making several recordings of original material. From these recordings, the band have made one EP in 2010 which was sold in Geraldton. A more recent demo is now available from recordings made in January 2012.
The band has had an ABC radio interview in 2010 about the release of their 2010 EP, numerous newspaper publications and were awarded with 2nd place in the Geraldton heat of “The Next Big Thing” in 2010.
The band is now looking to secure a venue to promote their recent demo and for future shows.
