At the age of nine, a young Joe Mungovan never could have imagined that begging his parents for a drum kit for Christmas would pave his way onto some of the most prestigious stages in Australia. When a near fatal skateboard crash would leave him in a wheelchair for 4 months and unable to drum, Joe taught himself guitar and unconsciously developed a style that is now described as ‘groove-based indie rock’. The now multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer creates music that is always bound to his first love of rhythm, while blending his knack for catchy melodies and introspective storytelling. With full band in tow, Joe’s live performance is an experience not to be missed.
