Domini Forster is a singer-songwriter and violinist from the Byron Shire area. A love of music from an early age led to a continuous stream of school performances throughout her childhood, lending her a sense of ease and enjoyment on stage.

In 2008, Domini joined forces with friends Chapei Lin, Amy McLaughlan and Tom Whitaker (Byron Steiner's high school music teacher) and the band took to the stage playing Domini's original compositions.

In October that year, Domini and Chapei entered the 'Battle of the Bands' competition - held at the Mullumbimby Civic centre. The duo performed Domini's original songs and walked away having tied first place in the competition alongside local band Half Nelson. This led to a string of performances supporting such acts as Sara Tindley and the Kingfishers, The Blue Hulas and Ryan Murphy. In 2009 the group performed at the Byron Bluesfest as part of the Byron Steiner School Showcase.
