Since school buddies James Martin and Chris Blain met Rob Loader five years ago, they’ve been absorbing, dissecting and thoroughly digesting an heavy artillery of music. Following Jamo and Loader’s return to Melbourne after misguided ambitions in the Army, the three 20-somethings were left burdened with a conflicting bundle of post-traumatic dilemmas: a severe yearning to chill out, an artistic vacuum, and a nasty, nasty dance habit…
Now, well into Chris’ questionable rehabilitation program in their North Fitzroy home/studio, the trio are writing, recording and producing their own unique variety of music which has (and continues to) enriched their lives so dramatically. The major influences in the group’s ‘musical renaissance’, which include The Happy Mondays, Underworld and Groove Armada, help form the rich diversity of styles which is the driving force behind their writing. Between them the lads have composed, arranged, sung, played, mixed or directed everything from rock and blues to classical and jazz; from house and breaks to choral and a cappella music.
Minian Funken’s music is there to be utterly immersed in – best enjoyed snug between headphones on long, pensive walks, in the bath, or over drinks with potential lovers. Most definitely serve chilled.

Nice chilled, melodic track. Production is good and the synths are minimal and ambient. Would have been nice with a little more build towards the end...

These boys present a very "new" and "different" feeling through their music. Melt sends shivers down my spine, and it reminds me of very lazy sunday ...
