Formally known as The Attention Seekers, Melbourne band Lock Stock’n Gypsies are a four piece that display subtle influences from a vast range of artists and genres. This mixture of influences, notably The Pixies, Violent Femmes, Arctic Monkeys and Johnny Cash, has produced a 90’s grunge, indie pop fusion with melodious chants. Known for their compelling live performances that brings patrons from the back corners of a venue to be apart of the show, Lock Stock’n Gypsies have produced an exciting debut EP, ‘Vultures’ - to be released November 2012. In a day and age where just about anyone can jump in front of a computer to make music these guys have stripped it right back to the essence of rock and roll. From humble beginning of acoustic guitars and garage band recordings, original members Tom Baring and Dan McGrane have come a long way to find their unique sound and their missing pieces to the puzzle in Matt Stander and Darcy Rank.

After building a reputable name for themselves as The Attention Seekers they felt with their new found direction and a debut EP in the mix it was time for a fresh start, hence the birth of the Lock Stock’n Gypsies. Not knowing how to describe their music, a diamond in the rough showed himself in the form of a sound engineer; "Hyper-Active Grunge Pop" - Adam Kerby (DeBasement Studios).

Looking to be the next ‘big thing’ since dinosaurs, Lock Stock’n Gypsies are ready to carve their name into the Australian music scene with their energetic live performances and their exciting upcoming debut EP.
