Sam and Pete originally got together in a Brisbane band named "Edies Playpen", which was once described as being musically, exactly halfway between Joy Division and Abba. After Edies disbanded, Sam moved to Melbourne while Pete kept writing and recording in a home studio.

Just before Christmas, 2006 Sam returned to Brisvegas and during 2007 he and Pete started making music again. Attempts to recruit other musicians didn't work so they initially decided to go it alone.

After a year of developing material they released a 4 song CD titled "the Blind Fingers ep" in mid 2008 and 9 months later, completed its followup, a full length album named "per ardua ad astra", which was released on July 7, 2009. Immediately following its release they recruited some friends to help them on a new all-acoustic project to be titled "the Kenilworth Sessions". Mark Whitmore joined as a bass player in January 2010 and the Kenilworth Sessions was completed in March. Simon joined on drums in May and in July, Jim Fleming took Mark's place on bass. The boys are currently playing shows around Brisbane while developing material for their next release.
