Top Song comp
Guess what all you talented unsigned singer-songwriters -- triplejunearthed.com is on the lookout for a top song! In fact, we're looking for a top song in each state and territory right around the country ... You could be the main songwriter in a band, a duo, or just flying solo. All we want is a lyric from one of your songs. It could be one line or one verse. Make sure that song is on the Unearthed site, or upload it by Sunday 9th March, and you will be entered in this competition.

So what's in it for you? How about being flown to Sydney and put up for three nights. Not good enough? What about access to APRA's S-3 Song Summit? It's a whiz-bang music expo held over three days in April, where everyone who's anyone in the music industry gathers to impart wisdom, gain wisdom, and chase James Mercer for his autograph. Yes indeed, THE SHINS main man James Mercer will be in attendance. Josh Pyke is also gonna be there, as well as Sneaky Sound System's Angus McDonald, plus a whole heap more.

But wait, we're not finished yet ... we want to put on a super special, super exclusive Unearthed songwriting masterclass, where you'll get to rub shoulders with some of the aforementioned names and talk up your stuff. It'll be hosted by breakfast's THE DOCTOR, and filmed by triple jtv.

So get cracking mighty warblers, you've got until March 9. Send us your lyric using the email address below (and make sure that song, where the lyric is from, is on the site or uploaded by the closing date). Remember to tell us who you are, and your band name. Only one song per songwriter please!
