Unearthed Artists We Like: PJ , KIZMET


Didgerydude a talented young musician from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland recorded his first album titled "Slide Didgerydoo Extraordinaire", in Dec 2006.
Didgerydude (A.K.A. Cliff Candy) has an original, unique sound on the Didgerydoo, his “sliding” Didgerydoo can change it’s musical tone or key just by sliding the three section of polli pipe whilst it’s being played. This makes the didgerydoo much more versatile and can be recomposed in all different styles of music.
Most of Cliff’s songs are accompanied by a nice blend of percussion instruments and bizarre sounding samples and loops. Cliff also play’s acoustic guitar and didgerydoo at the same time, giving an awesome show as well as sound.

At the age of 14 was unearthed by triple J at Alex Skate Park in Queensland, 1996. He came 7th out of over 170 entries and has competed in several competitions since, playing everything from folk, blue’s, rock, heavy metal, dance and tech-no.
Now 25 years old, Cliff has picked up a few more skills on several different musical instruments such as Blues harmonica, slide guitar, bass, drums and vocals. Cliff, over the years has also grown frustrated with other musician his own age stuffing him around with there lack of commitment and professionalism. Cliff has been trying to get himself into a “professional” working band since he was 13 years of age.
Cliff’s mission now is to perform solo, record stacks of tracks and play so many gigs, he’s bound to find some other young talented musicians that are just as committed to there work as he is and form a bad arse Band!
