Dion Read is one of the new young crop of exciting singer/songwriters to emerge out of Melbourne. Currently in the final production steps of his debut release, "The Shoes and Gloves EP," Dion fuses his love of a well-crafted song with a hard hitting piano style and sharp wit, creating unique and sophisticated pop.

Raised on a diet of '60s pop, Dion branched out from classical piano training, teaching himself early Ben Folds songs and forming an instrumental Jazz/Pop trio in school, before finishing a Bachelor of Music degree at QUT Brisbane.

A move to Melbourne in 2005 saw Dion link up with drummer Kyle Goldsworthy and bassist James K Pere, who form the backbone of Dion's live shows and recordings.

Definite talent. Have a bit more fun with the vocal and you're there.

Nice track. Solid instrumental work and the vocals are great too. Good luck in future.

I LOVE this. Very refreshing to hear music that's quirky and intelligent, yet still underpinned by such great musicianship.
