Fervent have been bringing their moody melodic rock to audiences around Sydney since 2002. Their unique sound won them a spot on the Grow Your Own Vol.10 Compilation (Foghorn Records), for which they recorded the track “Pretender’s Deeds”.
Their debut EP “Between Us” was independently released at the end of 2006 receiving national airplay and much praise:
“The fervency is at its most potent in Harris’ voice- the perfect vehicle for her taut emotive lyrics” Michael Smith, DRUM MEDIA.
The Fervent Summer Acoustic Sessions (launched 2007-2008) saw the band stripped back to 2 acoustic guitars and vocals, and encompassed shows in Sydney as well as regional NSW.
After a break from the live scene to write some fresh new tracks, Fervent recorded "4 Raw Demo" (August 2008), which is currently available at triplejunearthed.com. The track "Stain" from this recording along with "Between Us" from their debut EP, will be featured in the short film "Best Enemies" to be released in June this year. With new band members they are currently preparing for live shows and an LP release.
