Born Kojo Mensah Agyarko Saffu in Enugu, Nigeria to Ghanaian parents; kOJO has spent time in various countries including Ghana, Japan, Canada & the U.S and called Nigeria, P.N.G and finally Australia home. This nomadic lifestyle and myriad of cultures from a young age have played an integral role in his musical development and psyche on the whole!

From the engaging Ghanaian Hi-Life chanting and rhythms, infectious West African drumming along with traditional PNG dance and percussion there was a natural leaning to the sounds and stylee of Reggae, Hip-Hop, Roots & RnB from the outset.

kOJO was one of the pioneer’s of Australian premier Hip-Hop outfit; Culture Connect. & as such, has performed on stages with some of Australia's best including Blue King Brown, Resin Dogs, DJ Dexter, Mr Savona, Koolism, Illzilla & Diafrix. As Culture Connect continually develops, kOJO keeps his other fires burning by involving himself in a myriad of projects amongst which is his much anticipated solo E.P. The aptly titled kOJ E.P is above all an insight into life as he knows it; so expect wily truths on society & personal philosophy as well as some good natured bravado over infectious rhythms... 1… Peace… kOJ!
