No Art lie in the midst of melodic pop and experimental noise. Recalling Sonic Youth, Liars and Warpaint, they dip between the familiar and the foreign, constructing potent moments with a rare unbridled energy.

Exotica is No Art's debut EP, released on 2 March and produced by Patrick Santamaria (Lost Valentinos). It is an exploration of unknown territories, drawing on ritual and symbolic objects. The songs stretch between stark minimalism and emotive depth, trawling through haunting harmonies and white noise.

The band came together in early 2009 and were quickly named FBi Breakfast’s Unsigned Artist of the Week, the program calling them ‘our kind of ambient, experimental [act]’. Fight In The Nocturnal House appeared on New Weird Australia Volume 2, and their specially composed ambient instrumental piece Snaky Looking aired on ABC Radio National programme Quiet Space. The band were Triple J Unearthed’s feature artist with Richard Kingsmill rating their single Kids In Place 5/5. Over the past year, the band have toured widely and developed their compelling live performance, with shows at Sound Summit and New Zealand’s Camp A Low Hum.
