New song - Water Song

'Water Song' was written by Australian troubadour Pete Uhlenbruch (aka Owls of the Swamp), and founder of the international Melodica Festival, specifically for the 2011 Viva con Agua Wassertage Campaign in Hamburg, Germany. The song was written and recorded 'on the road' in living rooms and kitchens during a three-week tour of Germany in September 2011 and features guest performances from fellow 'International Troubadour Conspiracy' troubdaours Torben Stock (GER), Kid Decker (UK) and Maik W. Garthe (GER). 'Water Song' is a gentle folk song reflecting on the many different qualities and personalities of the water element.

BIO

Melbourne’s Pete Uhlenbruch’s alluring and surreal brew of folk is certainly enchanting but while his music is reminiscent of the wintry grace of fellow acoustic luminaries like Bon Iver and Iron & Wine, its indeed so much more. Known as Owls of the Swamp, Uhlenbruch beautifully marries his fascination with otherworldly folklore to intricate guitar-plucked melody and haunting vocals. His latest LP, Go With River, is rich with vivid folk ballads and serene ambient textures.

Really lovely warm recording on this track, with crystal clear vocals but a dreamlike depth to it as well...there's some haunting cello or e-bow goin...
