Hailing from Pomona among the beautiful forests of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, The Floating Bridges are an exciting, original 5 piece band raising the bar in the roots music scene with their organic, yet upbeat sounds. Taking influences from Funk, Rock, Blues, Roots, Reggae, and then adding in latin percussion, gives this outfit a diversity and energy that sets them apart from their peers. Their frantic and energetic live performances, are the reason The Floating Bridges are becoming known as one of the hottest live acts in Queensland.
Recent highlights include playing between Powderfinger and Jet at the 2010 Caloundra Music festival, scoring the main support slot for Josh Pyke at Mooloolaba New Years 2010/2011, and 3 cracking shows at the 10/11 Woodford Folk Festival.
With 42 shows booked between march and august 2011, You can be sure you will be hearing about The Floating bridges as they travel across the land spreading their message of peace, love, and good vibes....
