The Lesser Bilby
Genre: Rock, Indie
Region: Brisbane, QLD
Members: Rob Raguse, Alex L'Estrange, Eddie L'Estrange, Nick Broomham
Influences: blur, nice people with nice instruments, television

Since they were just kids playing Nintendo 64, The Lesser Bilby have been creating music and playing in bands together. Originally from Byron Bay, the two L'Estrange brothers alongside childhood friends Rob and Nick, make up the now Brisbane based four piece.

After spending a couple of years pursuing other musical projects, 2012 marked the friends return to their beloved band. Under the title Alex was using for a solo recording project, the newly formed Lesser Bilby were asked to play a series of Brisbane shows supporting local artists such as The Young Professionals and The Belligerents. They also found time to record three singles, with the song ‘Genius’ finding its way onto Triple J Unearthed Radio rotation.

With several headline shows about to be announced, and the production of their debut EP underway, 2013 is sure to be a very exciting year, one that could see the band reach tremendous heights, like some kind of beautiful Norfolk pine.
