Punk bluegrass ratbags The Lurkers met at a friend's backyard climate festival in Dural and played their first shows at The Sly Fox, Enmore. They released their first album in '09 before gigging in Germany and protesting outside the UN climate conference in Copenhagen, DK.

They've be playing to packed houses across the south-east of this country from Peats Ridge Festival to the back of a semi-trailer in Hazelwood, VIC. They now spend much of their time travelling the country in a biodiesel-powered yellow van, playing at festivals, parties and protests.

In late '11 they'll be releasing their full album recorded with Dave Sparks at Pirate Studios in Bega, NSW and welcoming Mumma Jones on the fiddle!

In 2012 they dream to get a big yellow bus, fill it with their favourite bands and a PA with solar panels and gig every nook and cranny of this land.

This is my favourite song in the world. If only it were possible to do a jig and be locked on at the same time!

I'm a fan of Woody Guthrie, so I love this sort of stuff. Looking forward to the new album.

Delicate banjo strumming and bitingly funny lyrics.
