“If my voice had a baby, it would be hers” – Renee Geyer

Singer songwriter duo, Jesse and Emily Lubitz, write with flare about the poetics of the everyday uncanny. Their band, TinPan Orange, find on their musical journeys love in a flood and solitude in a crowd, binding the momentary with the eternal and the playful with the wretched.

Supported by the weeping violin of 'maestro' Alex Burkoy, and a stirring rhythm section provided by Gidon Symons (bass) and Chris Doig (drums), the songs are dynamic, dramatic, almost cinematic, yet truly wholesome.

Their debut album Aroona Palace (2005) brought them great success gaining both local and national airplay and significant public attention. Featuring artists such as Pete Jones (Crowded House), Harry Angus (The Cat Empire / Jackson Jackson) + Ollie McGill (The Cat Empire / The Conglomerate), the album has secured a dedicated fan base eager to see them live and hear their new works.

Having just released their second album 'Death, Love & Buildings', featuring Renee Geyer, TinPan Orange are currently traveling the country performing their unique blend of profound perceptions and musical insights.

I love the lyrics TinPan Orange has. They use these funky little sayings to show a serious subject. Love it.
