certaintly a bit slower tempo at the begining... but the instrumentals in the begining sold it for me and the trumpet breaks up the calmness in a swell way... reggae beat is subtle which is nice super danceable so 4 outta 5 for me (p.s groovy lyrics)

This track is great... except for the vocals (what's with the exaggerated aussie accent?) and lyrics (nothing new or interesting going on there). It's a shame, as the horns, guitar and drums are so good. I could listen to this all day if it was an instrumental.

Red Tooth Clown is one hell of a smooth and haunting number. Dahahoo showcase so much diversity in their songs, and this is no exception. I'm not surprised this band was unearthed - they're the most talented band Canberra has spawned in years! Bob Marley is smiling somewhere...

Wow, what a track! Very Cat Empire-esque, but totally your own, and I am loving the result. Wow, what a track! Very Cat Empire-esque, but totally your own, and I am loving the result. The strong, pumping opening, completed by the superb latin guitar line, only gets better as the horns make their debut, before the whole piece settles back into a ska time feel, wonderfully captured and very tight. The trumpets are flawless, and are played with just the right amount of rough edge to compliment the urgency of the backing. The vocals flit effortlessly from pseudo-rapped to beautifully sung, and the delivery and melody just sit in great harmony with everything else that's going on beneath. I'm a sucker for an Aussie accent in singers, and I think that it not only suits the style, but also sounds damn good. The slightly stripped-back pre-chorus gives way to a punchy, memorable chorus melody with a good little lyrical hook that will no doubt be stuck in my head for some time. Ska can be a difficult style of music to play, as it is so crammed full of sound, but you have done it justice with this track, which is multi-layered and well-balanced, without being too busy or distracting at any point. If I were to find any fault with this track, it would be that it is too short! I could happily have listened to another minute of that, but luckily there's more tracks of equal quality to enjoy... Overall, this is a classy, strong and well-defined little tune that holds its own in the face if any comparisons, favourable or otherwise, to bands like the aforementioned Cat Empire, and makes you want to dance like an idiot for four minutes. Brilliant!

I saw these guys play this at the NFF this year, they played with about 10 other people - the Daha horns, it went off! The floor was made of wood and when we started skanking and bouncing the floor started to buckle and felt like it was about to snap.... If you havnt bought any of their music you really should.. Keeps up the good work.
