Some cool elements to this song that you pick up on as it bounces happily along. I particularly like how the vocal layers all swell together and it's very pleasant. Like an iced vovo bikkie.

You've bottled summer nostalgia into a tightly-formed electro-tinged indie tune. Nice work.

Looks like this has come at the right time - the tail end of the summer party season. Bring on some good sunset vibes with this as the soundtrack.

The debut single from Adelaide outfit Es Ist Super, is one of those catchy new-age pop singles that worms its way into your subconcious until you catch yourself humming it at the supermarket. The debut single from Adelaide outfit Es Ist Super, is one of those catchy new-age pop singles that worms its way into your subconcious until you catch yourself humming it at the supermarket. Its a party tune for partygoers, celebrating the elation of cutting loose on the weekend and forgetting your 9 to 5 office job. Its a song you'd listen to at the beach with your mates, at the pub with your mates, in the car with your mates, or at home, alone, with your cats (i wouldnt know anything about that last one though o.O ). The track opens with sweet little guitar picking and opens out with a killer bass. Credit should go to the band's drummer and bass guitarist, who lay a crisp foundation for the rest of the song to work around and flow. From there the song breathes some more before building to the synth laden, bouncing choruses. The section from 2.20 to 3.20 entices the listener into that last big, bouncing climax before the song fades out and by the end, you want to get straight back to the beginning before starting again. Its obvious the band has benefitted from going to the next level on mixing and mastering compared to some earlier recordings. With all of that aside, its the ode to summer we all crave and remember with fondness in years to come. Or at least remember foggily. Damn you tequila. Still, it feels like the band has more to offer with future releases, and their artistic boundaries will be pushed further as they continue along on their path. Very much looking forward to hearing more from the lads, 4/5.
