If you need a band to write the soundtrack for your next teenage coming-of-age film, why would you choose anyone other than Babaganouj?

If you'd been around in the 90s you so would have made the 10 Things I Hate About You soundtrack.

Once again Brisbane's Babaganouj have produced the perfect mix of catchy pop and hazy atmosphere. There is an awesome J Mascis-esq distorted guitar paired with a sweet group sing-a-long. I'm starting to run out of adjectives to describe how good these guys are!

Another homerun from the Brissie heavy hitters. How have you not run out of melodies yet?

Another epic drowned in sound style tune reminicent of Soinic Youth and Belly. The band capture the 90s-esq no-wave/shoegaze atmosphere so perfectly that it almost feels like playing an old record and feeling the nosgalgia! Everything fits together here, with the loud guitars and poppy sing-a-long chorus working in harmony!

Beautiful, just beautiful!

Babaganouj are by far the best band coming out of Brisvegas at the moment. This track screams out to be heard, and while airy at times, it never feels lacking or messy. Dream pop evolving into indie rock done right. Like the Cocteau twins taking over Pavement

This would slot nicely amongst the soundtrack for the first 'American Pie' film. Weirdly delicate with everything is once again on-point from the Brisbane outfit, this feels like an anthem for your "Imma do what I want" late-teens.

Reminiscent of 'Sorry', this track finds its hook and rides it out on a star shooting through the cosmos, complete with an explosive melody that promises to fire up the crowd at gigs.

Did I hear this in the late 90's? What a great song. I'll be using this to get out of bed in the morning!
