3.5 stars Nice narrative of love between indie kids. Has a story teller feel, and slightly reminiscent of Paul Kelly in the phrasing and tone of the voice. This song could definitely see the benefit of some added instrumentation to delineate the sections if a budget allowed for that in the future, but in this simple format the strengths are still clear.

Nice melody with heartfelt lyrics, for some reason it almost reminded me of a male singing a missy higgins song (in a good way). Would've liked a harmony somewhere in there though..

Take a moment to let this one swell on you. It's very, very, very basic and needs a dim light with a long coffee. It's gloomy in parts, but with a masterful insertion of a few words and a chord never lets you get the pits.

It's great to hear an authentic Australian singing voice. A fine story teller with an almost outback feel. Very similar style to Dan Warner, a Melbourne local legend who has the front bar of the famous Corner Hotel named after him. A splash of the Whitlams with a raw acoustic story make for a campfire classic. Well done. Edo Out!

Lovely. Sad, but when I tear up it's with a small smile on my face. If I had to be broken up with via a song, I'd like it to be this one.

i can't get either of these songs out of my head. they just sound so real and emotional. it makes me wonder how there is stuff like this just sitting here on a website when there are so many other people who have been signed to record lables, and their songs could never sound as beautiful as this. why has this not been played on jjj yet?!?!?! great song!

This track is so beautiful. In fact both tracks are beautiful. Simple songs with simple meanings.

Nice stuff Andrew. Raw and honest. If the song stands up without all the trickery - you know you're on to something. Much resepect from fellow Adelaidean and solo artist in 'at the end of the day'.

good story-telling, very darren hanlon, but also good mood change with the chorus, and like the distant whispered harmonies. lose slight interest in the 'middle 8' but overall, good song. listened to it 4 times now, so definite approval.

im a big fan of anyone who uses the word integrity in the right way. perhaps the female audience may find the lyric content a little condescending, but ya cant win em all. your voice is nice.
