Why, hello feelings. Can I also say, the marimba is such an under-utilised instrument. You use it to such delicate, pattering effect here, it gives the track this unified emotional thread, even as it builds into a cathartic guitar-heavy climax, you're reminded of where it all started.

Really respect how this is ambiguously beautiful and melancholic as well as desperate and a little ugly. Hearing great promise here and if nothing else: if it's good enough for Wayne...

Love the tension and the gradual build. The Bends era Radiohead.

I'm excited to see what Why We Run comes up with. I was a big fan of Cogel but fine with its rebirth here. Really solid first up tune, those falsettos and the ambling sounds are tasty flavours.

Cogel succeeded in grand, sweeping arrangements, but this first one I've heard from WWR is a total understated gem. You show a lot of restraint before you cut sick and it totally works for you.

"It's easy when you don't cry" but also how am I not supposed to with that voice? Haunting vocals dripping like water over that delicious slow burn crescendo and with a Creedence style guitar breakdown tacked on the end! Pass the tissues, my keyboard's already wet.

Well produced track. Good mix and and use of harmonics. Synth adds a nice retro touch too.

Layers. Like Shrek tries to explain, are important to ogres, but also songs.
This track has delicate layers that wrap this warm song up into a meaningful body of music.
Delicious.
