I'm into the dueling narratives on this track and the really lovely playing.

A super talented collective of musicians. Everything works so well together, everyone shares their part, creating this huge surround sound of a track that just bursts in all sorts of directions.

With so many instruments, it's very easy to go OTT but this is justttt riiiiight. Gorgeous harmonies too.

A song with its heart in the right place. And a song with a strong sense of place too.

They're they're folky, they're jazzy, they're your local town fair band on steroids... it's The Northern Folk! Famous for having their own tour bus and fitting a 10 piece on stage, this is the big band for the people who dislikes big bands. The instrumental melodies and vocal harmonies are discernible and given their own space amongst what normally would be a crowded soundscape. Come see these guys to strip away the dark bandroom and transport the audience to a straw covered barn somewhere in Albury.

Cold is an incredible track, bringing folk lyric sensibilities with a touch of pop. Unassuming at first, the percussion, brass, strings and strong harmonies from Paul and Georgie all come together to drive an explosive start to a new album. Something can be said for bittersweet songs with male and female counterparts; they definitely feel more real.
