Forever obsessed with clean soaring guitars underneath black metal vocals. Also those doublekicks are sooooo intense. What a band, I've GOT to catch this live.

Everyone in the office is speaking in tongues and drawing pentagrams in blood on the studio desks. I hope you guys are happy.

The dark lord has risen - he's present in this song and I'm signing up. Kenopsia goes through many phases, it's constantly surprising and interesting. A stunning insight into a dark world.

the demonic, brutal vocals played off against that soaring rock is an almighty combo.

This is phenomenal. Had to double check to make sure we weren't accidentally copping uploads from Norway but can confirm that this is one from WA. Sharp, searing vox partnered with surprisingly bright guitars makes for something totally unexpected. Kverletak took black metal to rock and roll zones and similarly Illyria are stretching it into new post-rock directions.

Yessss new Illyria! They've only sharpened their fangs since I heard them last. There's beauty and ballast in equal amounts here.

Massive sound on this one. The music creates an all encapsulating wall of sound that takes of off to somewhere medieval. The dry lung growls adds to dark menacing atmosphere!

These guys are unbelievable. When I found them a few years back on their first album I just assumed they were some veteran European band. They are not. They are Aussie and they are awesome
