Ok, I'll admit I had some preconceived notions of what Dead Inside the Chrysalis would sound like based on their name, but DITC's enthusiasm is as contagious as a mutant fungus. This song isn't really from any easily definable genre, but borrows the good aspects from a whole lot of genres.

As soon as this song started playing, i thought i'd been sucked straight back to the 80's. Normally i'd consider that a bad thing (who really likes nostalgia anyway?), but perhaps the fact that the singer seems to understand that there is more to life than falsetto that made me "turn my frown upside down" (lame, i know). Like the demon of Panic! At the Disco, which I'm sure you hate me saying. Despite the drama of the name, and throaty harmony vocals, taking cues from more popular Manson tracks, DItC pump out some surprisingly accesible music, punk-dance-heavy rock. If you like your punk-acid rock with a little bit of style then make sure to check these boys and gals out.
