I'm not crying, you're crying. This is so good Stella. It's a wack in the heart in the best of ways. Stunning verse storytelling and a belter of a heartbreaking chorus delivered with such feeling.

Five stars means this song can't get any better than it already is. I'll stick to that. It's perfect.

I've no idea how you coherently navigate such a variety of different voices in the one song but Donnelly, you’re a special sort of artist and you're incredibly important. One to watch, maybe even THE one to watch.

This is my favourite song of the year from my favourite EP of the year. Beautiful, striking, poetic and important, it doesn't shy away from its darkness, it's brutal, unflinching and just everything.

I've had this song on repeat for the most part of this year. It's an incredibly moving and important song. Brought to life with the most captivating melodies I've ever heard. Stella, thank you so much for creating something this special and important.

Not even my favourite song from your EP but still one of the best pieces of songwriting in recent memory. That said, the range of vocal is wonderful and the sparsity of the guitar are both crucial elements in making this such an amazing work. So much impact.

everyone is talking about the songwriting and yes, that's a standout. but i also love the range of delivery from calm and reasoned to rage and pain.

Jeez this is good and raw. Stella's lyrics rebound like buckshot but the effect is piercingly precise.

Came for the noodly pic, stayed for the tune. What a beautiful honest debut. I can't wait to hear more.

How great are these lyrics, from sweet sugar muffin to darling tits to f^#king a-hole in the space of what, 30 seconds? I reckon this would sound really good with a band behind it, some gritty guitars and drums but I do love the sweetness that the acoustics bring with your vocals. Really intrigued to hear more.

Stella Donnelly is not only an artist that is going places, but also an important singer songwriter we all need to sit down and listen to.

Wow*. This is magic - it manages to be both a hard-hitting anti-rape feminist message and sweetly irresistibly melodic. It soars into the chorus line, and sends chills up the spine. "Why was she all alone, wearing her shirt that low?" is a damn powerful lyrical moment.

*I know I'm late to the Stella Donnelly party - can only apologise and thank goodness I got here eventual...
