Eight minutes well spent away from the inbox. Like the build and a lovely hint of raspiness to your voice.

If this is the cool-aid - I'm drinking it.

Such a great floaty blue-eyed soul number. That beat and your voice are such a lovely combo!

I love how those beautiful raspy raw vocals had a strong moment to shine before the instrumentals joined you to tie the song together.

Instrumentals remind me of a Kasey Chambers tune, but those vocals are like a smooth Stevie Nicks. Your storytelling is vivid and colourful, you had me hanging on every word.

There just ain't enough country on Triple J Unearthed, consarn it! Really adored this - shades of Eilen Jewell and Loretta Lynn in there, and the vocals are a dream.

Like a slow burn, the song spreads out from your heart as it builds, from a single guitar and Alana’s haunting vocals, layering on more instruments (violins etc) and Alana unleashes her voice... in a way that feels uncalculated in its emotional build with ebbs and flows.

This track is amazing! From the start the music recalls some of the edgier folk/alt songs of the 70s to the almost melancholy opening lyrics. Alana’s voice reminds me sometimes of Janis Joplin, sometimes Stevie Nicks but is her own and unique. Is the kind of music you’d love to play on a road trip with someone you’re falling in love with. Epic track in the true sense. Can picture this being used at the end of an old Western movie where the female lead decides to do train heists on her own and she can because she's a badass! Adelaide Icon
