This just sounds like an instant classic. Gorgeous songwriting, beautifully executed, and LOVE that twang.

I found myself holding my breath as I listened to this, completely transfixed by every single word of every single line. your songwriting is simple yet complex, relatable yet poetic and completely arresting.

Obsessed with this new song from Kaitlin where she does so much with so little. It’s classic songwriting that relies entirely on lyricism and vocal melody more than showy production and it cuts to the quick.

How's this from Kaitlin Keegan? That simple, cutting admission of the song's title. It's so effective at cutting the chord to allow for closure and progression.

Kaitlin was so arresting on Emma that I was ready for more of that slow, breathy emotionality powered by direct lyricism and hard hitting moments. She's come at this one differently, with a little more rhythm and energy but that same poignancy to the lyrics that'll rend your heart if you dare listen close enough.

i'm gonna throw up kasey chambers and missy higgins as some influences on this new one from kaitlin. i could be wrong, but it has that golden charm with timeless songwriting.

If you'd heard Kaitlin's stuff before then good news, you've got a new fave song. If you're only just getting to know her now, congrats, you've just found a new fave artist.

You've captured everything that's great about independent Australian music right now, authentic storytelling, stuck-in-your-head melodies, beautiful vocals.

When this song starts, I'd thought it was going to be sweetly nostalgic. There's a bit of that but it's also COMPLETELY CRUSHING I AM VERY UPSET NOW. Distinctly Australian too, this is really special.

She's back with an absolute heartbreaker!! I think my favourite thing about Kaitlin's songwriting has always been the sincerity in the intimacy of the vocals. It's effortless in the delicacy of the vocals, but has you ice skating in the pure flow of the lyrics and melody. Genuinely one of my favourite local songwriters and such a highlight for 2020. The opening chord truly feels like ascension into a greater life through self-care, self-love and happiness. I don't think I've heard an opening so instantly divine and angelic. The rest continues this divinity and it's just gorgeous.

If this is Kaitlin just dipping her toes into the cool water of solo vulnerability, then I can't wait to see her take the plunge. A delicate, featherweight offering marking a stark contrast compared to the thrashing of BOAT SHOW.

Kaitlin, this is incredible. It's such a delicate song in so many ways (that three note piano line that leads into your vocals in the verses especially). But there's great conviction in how you tell your story too. And for this to be your first solo work, yikes. We got a killer new song writer on our hands.
