a cool blend of the acoustic and electronic from hope where you can hear the roots element but those pop hooks are strongggg.

woah! unexpected in all the right ways! there's a dash of 000's pop energy in that chorus that adds so much colour and vibrancy. you wouldn't think that would work with Hope's signature acoustic songwriting, but it ~really~ does.

Hope's got that same charming spirit as solo busker/singer-songwriter types like Tash Sultana and Ed Sheeran. As well as infusing the track with energy and tempo, she's put herself into the song and asked if you can relate.

it's a personal tale that just explodes and that cathartic break out around 2:30 is life giving.

Great to hear from you lady. I love the rawness you bring through that guitar and into your songwriting. It must be liberating to let it all out.

Hope's the sort of songwriter who cuts straight to the quick, writing songs that speak straight to the heart of a feeling. L.I is clothed in hurt and frustration which ripples in Hope's vocals.

You've got to have one of the most unusual and emotional voices I've heard in a long time. Every word is packed with so much vulnerability and listening to this feels like an intimate conversation with a friend.

This is such an epic, grand scale for you Hope. I'm not sure if this was intentional with the title, or a pun associated with your name, but this track is just brimming with a glowing sense of hope, the kind you feel setting out for an early flight on a big holiday. This is tops, well done.

Super strong songwriting. Really solid musicality, a driving melody that doesn't require fussy production but has some sweet guitar groundwork in any case - really love it, Hope.

I can absolutely see why everyone is talking about Hope Wilkins and I'm kicking myself that I didn't jump onto this vibe before lockdown because witnessing this voice live would be nothing short of majestic! Can't wait for the rona to be over, I'll be throwing myself straight on a plane to Canberra for this gig!

A little alt-country shuffle with a nu-folk swing and a couple of cheeky Easter eggs via lifting the chorus medley of The Lumineers' "Ho Hey" and the hook of Damien Rice's "Rootless Tree." In that respect, "L.I." feels like a mosaic - it's made up of a lot of other artworks, but when you take a step back and look at it in its own right it's a be...

Utterly delightful song!
From the electric guitar lifting the second verse, followed by a warm sea of harmonies and into the final crescendo, this song builds wonderfully and takes the listener on such a moving journey that once it's over I can't repress the urge to hit play again!
