Vocals are real and beautiful; the lyrics are poetic and lovingly complicated. I definitely can hear TNF influence, but I also think that Picard stands alone in this solo project.

This song is lush. Lyrics are relatable and poignant without being whiney. The way the texture builds to its peaks (which are rich and dense without being busy or over-complicated) then and ebbs away again is sublime - each of the several times it happens. Don't dare skip out early on this one - make sure you stay for whole last 55 sec!

A solo debut that has arrived with such ease. My Burden sits among the contemporaries of it's genre so comfortably and so rightfully. It's hard to imagine what Renn will sound like after a few years at his solo game, he already sounds so practiced yet still so beautifully vulnerable. I am very excited to hear all that is still to come.
