LIFE BENEATH THE VENEER Abelard is an emerging electronic producer and artist from Melbourne. His ‘glitterwave’ sound is a tightly-woven nostalgia-free collision of decadent 80’s pop, vaporwave, italo disco, and chillwave. Noisey (Music by Vice Magazine) described his work as the “2015s version of the 90s.” ‘Teen Optimism’ led to successful shows and collaborations in Tokyo and the US, and recent features across online publications. ‘Meta Valley’ explores a bitter-sweet portrait of fractured home life, discordant and exclusive nightlife, destructive homogenous corporate culture, and belonging.
