Bio

The Acitones formed at the beginning of 2012 in Margaret River, Western Australia. Beginning as a small cover band, through the months of October and November we began to write our own original songs.

During the beginning of 2013, we supported Darryl Braithwaite after winning the Busselton Battle of the Bands. Through that win we were also able to recorded our first single, ‘You'll Go Places’, which achieved national airplay on both Unearthed and Triple J Radio stations. From the start of 2014 we played a multitude of gigs and shows around the South West. That same year we were asked to open the Groovin the Moo Festival in Bunbury by Triple J.

Continuing our passion for music, from 2016 we’ve taken the step of living together in order to practice and create more frequently.

Aiming for a sound we can uniquely call our own, we try to take influence from a wide range of musical genres. With help from locals, friends, and colleagues, we’ll continue to try spread our music, and love of it, to the whole of the Triple J Unearthed, and Australian Music Industry.

Just got into a down south whirlpool on unearthed and found the Acitones again! Really like this one. The drums are great - they got a mind of their own, love it. nice work.
