Bio

The Acitones were formed at the beginning of 2012 in Margaret River, Western Australia and through the months of October and November began writing their own originals.

Trying to mix up-beat guitar riffs and drumming in the style of artists like Foals and New Navy with the mellow sounds of artists like Tame Impala and Grizzly Bear. With help from locals and friends The Acitones are trying to spread their music and love of it to the whole of the Triple J Unearthed and Australian Music Industry.

During the beginning of 2013, The Acitones supported Darryl Braithwaight and on top of winning the Busselton Battle of the Bands they recorded their next single You'll Go Places which achieved national airplay on both Unearthed and Triple J Radio stations, From the start of 2014 they are starting to fully record their first EP, after winning the Triple J Unearthed Grooving the Moo competition they will be opening up the Bunbury leg of the festival on the 10th of May.

Continuing their passion for music they are looking forward to what the future holds.

Just got into a down south whirlpool on unearthed and found the Acitones again! Really like this one. The drums are great - they got a mind of their own, love it. nice work.
