Bio
Pop/rock 3-piece with an art-pop, art-rock edge.
Adaptors are all about growth.
Each member has had to learn something new since forming in the summer of 2010/11: singing, songwriting, a new instrument, or playing altogether.
Since then, the band has developed an eclectic style, evident on their self-titled 2015 debut and 2019's 'Out of this World'.
The 2017 single 'Closer' accompanied the band's first music video, screened on MTV Australia. Singles 'Gossamer' and 'Crystal Eye' followed quickly after.
In 2019, despite the departure of their longtime drummer, Adaptors moved forward with their new single 'Pulse' in February and the new EP 'Out of this World' on the 15th of March. The EP showcases the band's diversity and willingness to experiment outside of standard genre patterns. Each of the six tracks present something different despite touching on the similar themes of perspective, duality, mindfulness, liberation and love.
