Sydney Indie-folk outfit, Aerobi, are set to drop their new 5 track EP in early 2013. Mature and poignant, the band’s new offering is an honest expression of their musical sensibilities. The band have embraced a new feel to their songs. Originally a funk inspired pop group, Aerobi have warmly welcomed a new vision and direction. Songwriter Michael Howell has flexed his storytelling muscle with this release, and along with an expanded arsenal of instruments, Aerobi have truly widened their expressive palette. The first single, ‘Willow’, due for an October release, encapsulates the band’s new sound. Opening with a driving acoustic guitar part that is soon joined by Howell’s precise banjo picking, ‘Willow’ will strike a chord with lovers of AC Newman, The Decemberists and Fleet Foxes.
