.afterthought was born during the COVID-19 global pandemic in early 2020. Close friends Anthony Syle and Nick Ross decided to start writing music they wanted to listen to as a sort of release from things they were dealing with. Enlisting the help of Luke Weber and Robert Marshall the band started to move along. .afterthought consists of past and current members from bands such as Dream On Dreamer, Wither & Foxblood bringing an experienced and established feel as each member has been heavily active within the Australian metal scene. For their sound .afterthought mix crushing guitar riffs, emotional vocals, hook filled choruses and top it all off with a broad soundscape of samples that brings everything to life. Drawing inspiration from bands such as Bring Me The Horizon, Architects & Dayseeker. On the 9th of April 2021 .afterthought finally introduced the world to ‘Disconnect’.
