Akira is a Sydney based rapper that represents the new generation of Australian hip-hop. As a melting pot of genres Akira moves freely between influences of hardcore, punk, rock and, of course, hip-hop.
His passionate flow and lyricism has allowed him to grace the stage of Sydney’s Awful Things. Akira has also been a re-occurring guest for artists such as Amastro and etcetera, playing the Plot Festival in Paramatta and Courtyard Party at Ivy alongside Tash Sultana and Mansionair. In 2018, Akira dropped his first mixtape, Oni, which was received positively throughout the SoundCloud community.
2019 marks the imminent rise of artist Akira as he has supported International artists such as Yung Gravy and Lucki on their Australian tours and played a plethora of his own headlining shows. His debut album 'Bad Luck' is out now on all streaming services and he continues to rise in popularity.
