Thomas McAlister and Sam Weston

Bio

Blunted, drawn out forays into shoegaze and instrumental hip-hop. Sparse, keyboard heavy, and very vocal. Albatross are Thomas McAlister and Sam Weston. They formed in 2010 out of neccessity, after the dissolve of their first band, Chambers. Creating music together since they could, they finally decided to give their musical marriage a name, and thrust it out into the open. In the twelve months since, they've been transforming what started as an experiment into something that is completely their own. A 7" of 'Murder' & 'Casper' through Life Aquatic Records exists in a limited release. Stay tuned for more releases in 2012!

Murder is pretty unassuming if you're not paying attention but it's also got the ability to totally sweep you up with those plush, floaty atmospherics and the smothered vocal. Brilliant stuff.

Such a beautifully produced track. That's all I can really say! Really does transport you elsewhere.
