Bio

Alec Randles is an independent fingerstyle guitarist and roots musician from Canberra, Australia. His original music draws heavy influence from his backgrounds in Celtic, Classical, African and Flamenco guitar - always surprising audiences with rhythmic diversity, a powerful voice and thought-provoking lyricism. Music has taken Randles from Canberra to all across Aus, the US, New Zealand and many a jam circles in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica. The early months of 2020 has seen Alec embark on a successful four-city tour across New Zealand and share stages with renowned names such as Jeff Lang, 3x Golden Guitar awardee Michael Fix & Art v Science.

The contrast between his originals such as 'These Days' and 'Peace of Mind' demonstrate Randles has a lot of feel. His debut EP 'Petrified' is locked in for release in June 2020 and will feature material spanning from commentary on rising western oligarchy, to retelling stories of travel, love and new experiences. The release will be accompanied by an Australian east coast tour.

I get it now! Alex Turner's been digging through Alec Randles' amorphous lyricism to inspire his new age manifesto. Randles' playing shows heaps of talent and the songwriting will sucker you in.

Accomplished fingerstyle guitarist - No Shit! This is magnificent and beautiful. To add to your ridiculous talents your vocals have an old school charm, I feel like this song teleported from the 1960s-70s to now. I can hear so many musicians in your sound but can't see to pin point who exactly you remind me of.
I guess that's the sign of a great artist.
