Alex Elbery and The Strangers are a Melbourne based outfit centred around enigmatic West Australian songwriter Alex Elbery. Formally playing with Stereoflower and Mulder (along with Owen Rabbit) Alex has shared bills with the likes of Kim Salmon (The Scientists,) Nai Palm, WhatSoNot, Six60, The Commitments and The Middle East, and toured both nationally and internationally, the highlight of which includes a whirlwind trip to South Korea in 2014 with Mulder. Lately, Alex has been holed up in Melbourne’s Studios In The City with producer Jon Grace recording his debut solo record. The first single off the record; ‘So Far So Good’ is out now! debut solo album, currently being forged with producer Jon Grace at Studios in The City.

One of those tracks that'll slap you to attention and ask "what is this magic I'm hearing right now??" I love how this channels that bygone big Australian sound undercut by an acerbic tongue.
