Bio

Most known for fronting East-Coast rock trio Columbus, songwriter/producer Alex Moses' solo project shows a different shade of colour to angsty lyrics and driven guitars. Oozing yellow joy, early 2000s nostalgia and memories of young love Alex's pop tunes will transport you to the blissful oasis Thirsty Merc so passionately pined for, the summertime.

Alex's new track 'Heelys,'a nostalgic anthem of young love, is an entry into the #DIYSupergroup comp, and features samples from G-Flip, Tash Sultana and the Jungle Giants.

Alex delivering perhaps the most unexpected entry into our DIY Supergroup competition with this affectionate trip down memory lane to a time before COVID-19 where everyone wore heelys and Owl City wrote the national anthem.

I think we heard hints of this side of Alex's songwriting in a few Columbus songs but I'm loving hearing it fleshed out so gorgeously right here. The details - that spindling guitar, delicate vocal layering and searching lyrics - are so convincing.
