I write songs in a little cottage house in North Melbourne, record them with my mate in Coburg or in a house in the forest in Tassie. I sing blues when I'm alone and folk when I've got friends around. Bright Eyes made me cry at a festival one time, but Elliot Smith is too depressed for me. Sometimes I dance to Graceland in my living room. A judge in a talent quest once said I sounded like a twelve year old girl. I'm not a twelve year old girl, don't be fooled. Music is the closest I can get to honestly understanding how people behave.
